MY JOURNEY
When I first started seeing couples over 20 years ago, I went on a search to find an approach to couples counseling that works. I was fortunate to discover the work of Dr. Sue Johnson, who developed Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy. While at WSU, I developed a training program to teach doctoral students couples counseling using EFCT. With ECFT, I can truly help people reconnect, strengthen their relationships, solve difficult conflicts, and deepen their love. I consider myself a practical therapist and this model really works. Helping couples with EFCT is where I feel most excited and engaged by my work as a psychologist.
