I use a secure, encrypted, HIPPA compliant version of Zoom, an online Telehealth videoconferencing platform.
It is simple to use.
The day before your appointment, you will receive an email from me with a link to our meeting.

Payment
We will spend time at the end of the first session while you provide me with your credit card information and I will enter it into the Square program while we are online. I will securely store your credit card information and will bill your credit card after future sessions.
Financial Issues
We are living in very uncertain times. In the event that you find yourself experiencing due to Covid-19 closures, disruptions, or anticipated reduction in income, I am willing to work with you to reduce your fee so that we may finish the work of your counseling. I believe this is a time when we all have to be flexible, kind, creative, and calm.

To Prepare for Online Counseling
- You will need to sit close together and make sure you have good lighting, so that I can see you both clearly. Find a private location away from children and distractions.
- If you have other people in your household, you may want to arrange for them to not be using the internet at the same time because you will be drawing from the same bandwidth. For example, you may want to download movies or television shows in advance for your children.
Starting the Meeting
- At the time of your appointment, click on the link in the email and the webpage for our meeting will open.
- You may see a message: Join with Computer Audio and/or Test Computer Audio- click on that.
- If I have logged on before me, you will see a message: Please wait for the host to start the meeting. This is like a waiting room.
Technical Issues
- Please keep your phone with you.
- Internet connections may be unstable and the screen may freeze briefly, but will most likely unfreeze.
- If the screen does not unfreeze after a minute or so, please text me: Tech problems - restarting. Then click on Leave Meeting in the lower right of the screen. Move your curser to the bottom of the screen and you will see the menu with Leave Meeting on the far right.
- Click the link in the email again to rejoin the meeting. When you rejoin, you may be asked to Join with video - click on that and also Join with computer audio - click on that.
- If my screen freezes and does not unfreeze, I will do the same to reconnect from my end.
- If we are unable to reconnect, please text me and we can continue via phone on speaker mode.
- Systems may be struggling to handle the new amount of online traffic as many people are now working from home. In the event that we are unable to connect via Zoom, we can try a phone session or reschedule.
